Detecting Lead Paint on any Surface

When using abrasive blasting to remove an existing coating from a surface or structure, it’s vital to accurately determine if that coating is lead-based.

Unfortunately, to the naked eye, lead-based paints are impossible to tell apart from lead-free coatings. Lead detection kits are the only dependable way to ensure that an industrial coating you’re about to blast doesn’t contain lead.
