BlastOne

Outdoor Hoop Structure Blast Room

This Customer was a large industrial painting contractor in Minnesota. They had a large facility with in-house 4 paint booths and 4 trucks built for fast mobilization for doing onsite sandblasting throughout Minnesota.

The blasting contractor came to BlastOne looking for a solution that would enable them to blast outside when it was raining and give them somewhere that they could contain the dust, abrasive and the blasting environs.

Before installing the new Blast room they had three blasters blasting outside and the weather was beginning to become a big obstacle to their production and customer lead-time guarantees.

Solution

The solution was a Hoop dome structure which was set on top of 4 shipping Containers. This innovative solution allows the customer to blast all year around without having to worry about the weather, rain or hail! Also, because the construction is designed to be portable, the customer is not limited in their future expansions, if they need to expand this portable blast room can be moved easily.

The Dome Shelter is 50 ft wide, 80 ft long, the center clearance is 21 ft high and includes 2 fast rubber roll up doors to allow a pass-through blasting set up.
