Acquisition of VertiDrive B.V. by BlastOne International
BlastOne is pleased to announce the acquisition of VertiDrive B.V. located in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
BlastOne, is a leading global provider of blasting and painting equipment and supplies, and has been acting as a sales partner for VertiDrive, for more than five years.
The acquisition of Vertidrive will enable BlastOne to improve support for customers and provide innovative solutions for automating their blasting and painting processes.
The addition of VertiDrive’s robotics technology will enhance BlastOne’s ability to serve a wide range of industries, including shipbuilding, ship refurbishment, chemical industries, heavy fabrication and infrastructure.
BlastOne’s industry leading experience and Vertidrive’s superior technology are a natural fit and complement the Superior Performance customers have come to expect from BlastOne solutions.

BlastOne International and Fincantieri Marinette Marine Enter Partnership
BlastOne International and Fincantieri Marinette Marine enter a partnership to retrofit the existing building into a state-of-the-art blast and paint facility. BlastOne International was awarded a turn-key project to retrofit an existing building into a cutting-edge blast and paint facility for Fincantieri Marinette Marine (FMM). This new facility, built with four independent bays, will enable the shipbuilder to prepare, blast, and paint ship sections in an environmentally controlled environment to facilitate maximum production uptime.
FMM has invested heavily in the most state-of-the-art equipment for maximum production of ships, including the new Constellation-class Frigate Program (FFG 62) for the U.S. Navy. The new facility will be outfitted with specialized recirculating blast ventilation air to reduce energy consumption, dehumidification technology to help maximize the number of operating days, and a unique flow design to allow ship sections to move from blasting to painting seamlessly. Additionally, heat recovery will be used to reduce the consumption of natural resources and improve environmental impact. This new, fast-paced project is already in progress and expected to be completed in less than a year.
