Cost vs Value for Blast Hoses

What really separates a 'Good' from a 'Cheap' blast hose’?

Is there really any difference that should matter to company profit or blaster’s safety? Yes.

It’s easy to determine which blast hoses cost less but what you’re really looking for is the best value. Cheap blast hoses may seem like a good bargain at the time of purchase, but when the ‘true quality’ begins to show, the reality is you have paid too much for an inferior product.

Your decision for purchasing a blast hose should not only include quality, cost, and life expectancy but will it protect adequately from static electric shock. Safety factor should also be a key point when making the important final purchase.

If a cheap blast hose has been made from recycled rubber, the probable life of the hose could be as meager as 150-200 hours. With a high quality blast hose, the expectant life is 400-500 hours (depending on the abrasive used).

SupaLife blast hoses are manufactured using virgin natural rubber with carbon black graphite. This has anti-static qualities to eliminate the problem by dissipating the static electricity through the wall of the blast hose to ground.

Quality SupaLife blast hose is constructed using a 2-ply or 4-ply arrangement – highly woven cord linings which are placed in a cross ply pattern to add strength, but still allow the blast hose the flexibility that it requires.
