If you don't regularly change your breathing air cartridge there can be damaging levels of mold you inhale each work day. The quality of air operators breathing is very important to their ongoing health. To avoid breathing in contaminated air, change your breathing air cartridge regularly.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD AN AIR FILTER CARTRIDGE BE CHANGED?

Filter manufactures recommend replacing your air cartridges every three months or every 400 hours of use - whichever comes first. If you suspect that your filter is delivering poor quality air, be safe and replace it. A damp and mouldy filter cartridge can be extremely harmful to your health.

When changing your filter, note the date the new filter is opened and be sure to put a reminder in your planner for a changeover. It is important to note that the recommended replacement timeline begins once the new cartridge is removed from its air tight plastic packaging and hits the air.
