DeFelsko® PosiTest® OTL Oven Temperature Logger
The PosiTest OTL – DeFelsko’s solution to monitor and record temperature profiles in Powder Coating and other industrial ovens. Configurable in various ways, some of it’s features include:
- Simple Design. With an easy-to-use interface and bright LED’s to indicate logger status, operating the Oven Temperature Logger is simple and intuitive.
- Capable. The DeFelsko OTL can:
- Measure & record up to 40,000 datasets in up to 6 batches. Records temperatures every 2 seconds for up to 22 hours.
- 6 ‘Channels’ (K-type thermocouple ports) for adding temperature probes.
- Configurable. Depending on the specific application, the OTL offers various configurations, such as:
- PosiTest OTLKIT, including logger with barrier box and standard Holder (65 minute endurance at 200° C)
- PosiTest OTLKITXT, same as above, except with heat-sink Holder (200 minute endurance at 200° C)

- OTL logger only without barrier box, for use with temperature probes and when the logger does not need to be in the oven.

The DeFelsko® PosiTest® OTL Oven Temperature Logger is a meticulously designed tool for monitoring and recording temperature profiles within industrial ovens. This logger is an invaluable asset for quality control in painting, coating, and manufacturing processes where precise temperature control is critical for ensuring a proper cure.
Equipped with 6 K-type thermocouple ports, the PosiTest® OTL offers versatile and accurate temperature monitoring across different sections of the oven. Its capacity to store up to 40,000 datasets (240,000 readings) into 6 independent batches allows for extensive data collection over multiple runs, ensuring thorough analysis of the curing process.
The introduction of the Cure Index is a significant feature that aids manufacturers in comparing the cure specifications provided by suppliers against the actual temperatures achieved in the oven and on the part. This comparison is crucial for verifying that each product undergoes a proper cure, thereby maintaining quality and adherence to standards.
Constructed to withstand high temperatures, the logger’s stainless steel barrier box, insulated with fiberglass and containing no silicone, ensures durability and longevity even in harsh industrial environments. The logger’s simple, user-friendly interface facilitates easy operation, while bright LEDs provide clear status indications at a glance.
The PosiTest® OTL is available in two configurations: a complete Logger Kit, (including a temperature logger, barrier box, choice of holder, engraved probe ID tags, and more); and a Logger Only option, providing flexibility based on user needs. Both options come with a Long Form Certificate of Calibration traceable to NIST, ensuring reliability and traceability of measurements.
