The EASIEST Way to Measure Surface Profile
Similarly to Testex Tape, this special gauge can be very helpful for coating inspectors and painting companies to have in their arsenal. The Surface Profile Gauge from DeFelsko has a needle in the bottom, which digs into the surface profile and takes its readings.
The latest PA-17 standard from SSPC says you need to take the highest reading from a batch of 10. DeFelsko has released a smart batch feature for the SPG, which will give you the ability to take 10 readings and it will keep the highest. The reason we keep the highest reading is it measures the highest peak on the surface profile. This is most comparable to Testex Tape results.
Additionally, we sell a kit that comes with a coating thickness gauge and a dewpoint meter. Just simply swap these out on the bottom of the PosiTector. You no longer need a special gauge for every application.
