Crocodile Wipes – Unlike standard wipes, Crocodile Cloth® brand cleaning cloths are 15-inch by 10-inch, extra-large for faster, easier cleaning of surfaces, large and small. Crocodile Cloth® brand cleaning cloths are made of low-lint, non-woven, highly absorbent materials to collect and trap dirt like a microfiber cloth. They are tough on dirt but gentle to skin.
Lead Check Kits – 3M™ LeadCheck™ Swabs are disposable, convenient and simple to use. The entire test typically takes about 30 seconds. Just swab virtually any surface or material, including painted wood, metal, plaster, or drywall. If the swab turns red, lead is present.
One of the big problems with consumables from the big box retailers is that they are largely designed for handyman use only not professional use. BlastOne only stocks handtools a that have been proven in the field and shown themselves to be robust enough for the abrasive blast industry.
Using general rags in the protective Coatings Industry is not advisable, if colored they will bleed dye and if not lint free will leave lint behind on the surface being prepared or coated. Use either lint free cotton rags or specialized wipes.
One important consideration when choosing consumables is, are they solvent resistant? Many painting consumables from big box retailers have very limited solvent resistance, if any. This also applies to brushes and rollers. The first time some of these products are placed into solvent they disintegrate.
